Artwork from SORA

These are some select pieces of artwork that I have completed over the last 3 semesters at the School of Representational Art. Most of these pieces look MUCH better in real life, but I did the best I could with photographs.

Any pictures containing nudity have links located below instead of the pictures themselves.

God has really blessed the work of my hands over the last year and a half, but I still have such a long way to go! I am only scratching the surface and just learning how to crawl, let alone walk and run. o.O However, Jesus said, "If you only believe you will see the glory of God." I believe God has an amazing plan for my life and I am excited to see how it will unfold in the months and years ahead. :)

First Cast drawing. It was not taken to completion.

My most recent graphite figure drawing of our model, Rebecca. So far it is my favorite figurative work.

Jehovah Rapha

I wanted to share two testimonies of healing that occurred this week.

I believe very strongly that the hand of the Lord, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is working through believers to continue the work of miracles, healing, and deliverance at this present time. Throughout the Bible there are Scriptures that testify to God's amazing miracles, signs, and wonders that happen in the lives of those who seek His face and believe by faith in Him to meet their needs. Here are just a few:

Matthew 8:16-17
"When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
"He took up our infirmities
and carried our diseases.""

Matthew 15:30-31
"Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel."

1 John 5:14-15
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

John 14:12
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

Acts 14:3
"So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders."

Jeremiah 32:20
"You performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, both in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours."

Matthew 14:14
"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick."

Matthew 20:34
"Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him."

On Tuesday evening, while on the way home from school, I began to feel very light headed, dizzy, feverish, and fatigued. After I arrived home I grabbed a bite to eat and chatted with a close friend. As we talked I became increasingly sick and, finally, I asked my friend to pray with me for God to heal me. He prayed and a few minutes later I felt very chilled - as though the fever broke. My forehead no longer felt warm and I went upstairs and slept for roughly 5 hours. That evening and into the next day I was completely restored to 100%! Praise God!

On Friday morning God placed my friend, Nell, on my heart. I called her to find out that she had come down with a bad fever the previous evening and was terribly sick in bed. I felt led to pray with her for God to heal her from this sickness so she could continue to do the work He had called her to do. So we prayed and then I let her go so she could rest. The next morning she called me and testified to being healed the previous evening and was almost at 100%. She was even able to return to work that very day and we both give all the praise and glory to God!

These testimonies are shared in an effort to encourage you to seek God with whatever you are facing. God thrives in impossibility and no one whose hope is in Him will ever be put to shame. Whatever you are facing right now, turn to Him. He is close to the broken hearted and one of the Hebrew names He is known by is Jehovah Rapha - The Lord our Healer.

Long overdue

It has been almost 2 years since I last update this blog and so much has happened in that time. I have been going to the School of Representational Art and I am currently half-way through my 2nd year.

My goal in the upcoming weeks and months is to update this blog as often as possible with the works I am doing at school and any writings/experiences/testimonies the Lord puts on my heart to share.
